The Governor of Maku said that police have confiscated one ton of narcotics over the past year.
Nader Kazemi went on to say that 20 defendants have been detained in this regard.
Some eight heavy-duty and light-duty trucks have been also seized during the operations, he further noted.
He pointed out that some five lands have been confiscated from the defendants.
